Don't think knowing of another's tale is needed for the enjoyment of this...
Think the symbolism of the bare tree, the fence, the overgrown and untended field... the finding of a bench in such a setting (!) and the man, nearing the end... the golden colors that still express not only the late autumn of it all, but the light of the setting of the sun as well... gives a meditation on the meaning of it all... where it has went... and one's place in the grand scheme of things...
